Monique is a Research Fellow at the Cranfield School of Management and is at the final year of study towards a PhD in Leadership and Management. Her professional interests lie on the area of Global Mobility of Employees, with her current research aiming at broadening the discussion of “hostile environments” within the expatriation context, addressing different types and degrees of hostile threats to expatriates (such as psychological and institutional threats). Monique holds an MRes in Management from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), and a BSc on Business and Management from the State University of Santa Catarina (Brazil). Before coming to the UK, she had other international experiences in Portugal and France (both as an exchange student), the USA and Finland (both as a visiting researcher), and Italy.
